First off, on behalf of the Winter Classic Committee and the Rotary Park Revitalization Committee we want to thank you for your participation and support of the Winter Classic from day one.  Since 2015 we have continued to develop and add to an event that we hope is a celebration of winter, hockey and our community. To date the Winter Classic has raised $143,718.00 towards the Rotary Park project through our various events along with a successful Kraft Hockeyville bid in 2016.

It is with great excitement that we have seen the installation of a roof in 2017 making the #raiserotaryroof campaign a success that we can all celebrate.  Thank you to the Brockville Rotary Park Revitalization Committee, and the citizens of Brockville & Area, for everything you have done to date to help us reach this goal!

But our work isn’t finished. The Winter Classic Committee has created a multiyear plan that aims to continue in developing and enhancing the fabulous community asset of Rotary Park.  Our 2018 event will assist in setting us on a path to achieving our continued fundraising goals. Some of the project goals we have established are:

  • Completion of ice rink surface to fully functional hockey rink (completion of boards, installation of benches and boxes)

  • Heated changeroom with access to ice surface

  • Ice resurfacing equipment

  • Seating options for the park

  • Outdoor recreational exercise equipment

These are lofty goals, but we continue to be amazed by the community spirit, corporate partnership and response to the Winter Classic and thus feel we can together accomplish these objectives!

We are happy to announce that we will be delivering a bigger and better Brockville Winter Classic Weekend in 2018, and we are excited to share our plans with you.

From Friday, February 16th to Monday, February 19th, in addition to the highly anticipated “Brockville Winter Classic” hockey tournament, draft lottery, and silent auction, we take great pleasure in announcing the following additions to our weekend:

Brockville Rotary Park is a locally funded facility that offers free recreation for the entire community. This facility is integral to the healthy upbringing of our youth by offering play without charge. Since 2010, the Rotary Park Revitalization Committee has infused approximately $2,000,000 into this community asset and couldn’t have done it without the support of the Winter Classic team and you the community at large.

How you can get involved:
